The floating or fixed CLEARTEC® Pond Module is a sustainable solution for maintaining optimal water quality and ecosystem in various types of ponds such as artificial, polluted, recreational and aquaculture ponds.
The improved water quality is achieved by combining the CLEARTEC® fixed bed biofilm technology with JÄGER’s energy efficient aeration system.

Energy Efficient Aeration
Fine bubble aeration ensures optimal oxygen levels in the pond and supports removal of residual substrate by biofilm.
CLEARTEC® Movement
Movement of CLEARTEC® in the pond makes the product adaptable to any pond size, but also prevents having anaerobic condition and/or dead zones in the pond.
Biofilm Formation
Biocarriers facilitates formation of thin biofilm in CLEARPOND Module. The sessile biomass then promotes natural biodegradation of residual substrates, and thus contribute to reduction of pollutants in the pond.
The promotion of natural biodegradation and the increase in dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration depends on the water characteristics and the number of biocarriers and diffusers used in the CLEARTEC® Pond Module.
Below are two examples of field studies of the CLEARTEC® Pond Module.
The first case study showed that small CLEARTEC® Pond modules reduced concentrations of biodegradable organic pollutants (expressed as BOD5) by up to 95%, but also contributed to a reduction of 63% and 77% of total nitrogen and phosphorus in the pond. This shows the effectiveness of the CLEARTEC® Pond Module in preventing eutrophication and maintaining good water quality in the pond.

The second case study shows the use of the CLEARTEC® Pond module in a river in Thailand. The BOD can be reduced by 81% and the COD by 48%. Overall, the system was able to comply with the limit values.
