In 1996, after several years of trials, the final decision was made in favor of Cleartec® BioCurlz and it was installed in both aeration tanks. For more than 17 years, the IFAS system provided the required effluent quality. But over time, the ceramic diffusers broke. For these reasons, the operator decided to replace the entire system, but to continue using Cleartec® technology. The installation began in spring 2013 and was approved a few months later. Since then, the system has been running stably and continues to safely comply with all discharge values.
Connection to ShearCon:
The system was planned and commissioned as a conventional system, but has been optimized and adapted to ShearCon over the years.
